I read Utusan few days back.. n there's a story bout our politicians being urged to change their lifesytle (example given in the paper: berbelanja besar n melancong ke luar negara) as well due to the increasing in the fuel prices... heheheheh lawaknya kan.... and i remembered when flipping around malay's magazine few mths back.... gaya mak2 datin in their matching ferragamo shoes n bags...... but honestly speaking i can see the difference with the politicians here in WA....
Early this year if i'm not mistaken... there's a headline in the newspaper here about one of the female minister wearing a designer handbag (Channel rasanya)... n people dok argue maybe the minister's wages are too much kot that's why she can afford expensive handbags... can u imagine... she's not minister's wifey but she herself a minister.... lawak kan... n WA just appointed a new premier... when the press interviewed him at his home.... i asked hubby...'eh camtu jer umah dia....' tp tu ler the difference that i can see with the politicians here n back home.... kat sini menteri 'keja' tuk rakyat... entah ler....

Ella, very interesting topic you posted here...
i would like to say a few words... actually i dont think its their lifestyle that they have to change. its their policies and national treasury spending habits that must change. how they manage projects that must change. they can wear what they want and travel all over the world for all i care, but stop feeding unnecessary clowns with no credibility with projects that they have no knowledge of how to run. they will just sub-con these projects others, adding more cost and finally debt on the way. stop taking a bit out of reseach grants that was was trusted to rnd/reseacrhers and the like... like you said, these clowns have to actually start working for the masses...

i agreed 1000% with what you've said.... tu ler cuma for my post nie i cite ringan2 jer hehehehe.... tp klu dah dok travel n shopping etc here n there... duit tu sume dr mana yek.... yap i know, business they must say... but the business itself... sumbernya/contact etc dr mn yek... so bila nak concentrate for their 'work' as our reps... entah ler.... ops nie sume my own view jer kot salah tlg betuikan ler....
